Gerald Ginsburg Repertoire Prize
We are honored to have partnered with The National Association of Teachers of Singing (N.A.T.S.) on the Gerald Ginsburg Repertoire Prize. Students who perform at least one of Ginsburg’s compositions in the YouTube, semifinal or final rounds in the N.A.T.S. National Student Auditions in the Post High School Classical categories are eligible. The $1000 prize will be presented at the N.A.T.S. biennial conference, which brings together hundreds of voice teachers, student singers, collaborative pianists, researchers and industry professionals from North American and around the world. An art song composed by Ginsberg fulfills the English Language Art Song requirement and/or fulfills the fourth additional selection requirement in the Upper NSA categories. The prize will be offered every year, and we are excited for voice teachers and young singers to discover Ginsburg’s music through this opportunity.
2026 Ginsburg Repertoire Prize Winner: Tiana Oberoi
21-year-old soprano, Tiana Oberoi, from Bangalore, India, is a third-year undergraduate Cundill-Davidson Scholar studying at the Royal College of Music in London. Some of Tiana’s solo highlights include performances at Westminster Abbey for The Commonwealth Day celebrations; at Musikverin and Ehrbar Saal in Vienna and the Royal Opera House in Mumbai. She was recently one of 4 students selected to be a Glyndebourne mentee as part of the Pegasus Opera Company in the U.K.
